I was recently approached by Mojomums to answer a few questions about starting up Mums Meal Planner, my aspirations & where would I be now if I was any good at netball!
The interview made me re-think the reasons why I did this & it’s only inspired me even more. We all have ‘kid grumbles’ as they try their best to drive us mad at times but then I sit back and think.
Where would we be without them? What would I find to wash 7 days a week? How boring would TV be if I didn’t have a HUGE pile of ironing to do?
I’m pretty sure my life would be taking a very different path right now but I’m loving the family journey and there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. Where else can you have a ‘heated discussion’ about why carrots are orange? Or have an in depth conversation about why peas are green? And my favourite question – ‘why Mummy?’
Lets face it, children drive us to distraction but we wouldn’t be without them. I always wondered why parents would say to me – ‘don’t have kids’ – while sat there with a couple of them. But I now understand. At that precise moment, their parents would quite happily trade them in for a bar of chocolate or glass of wine, but within milliseconds, they want to grab them back & hug them like never before.
It’s such a crazy feeling to experience day in day out & why we are so emotionally drained day after day. I know I wouldn’t change a single thing.
Why not have a look at the interview here ? I’ll share with you how I suffer with the daily ritual of getting out of the door in the morning!
