We love them in our house & are always trying to find new recipes. I must admit my favourite is good old Apple Crumble. It’s just lovely! Served warm with ice cream. I know there will be outcry at that – I know it should be served with custard, but I much prefer ice cream. To be honest, I love most desserts (that may be why my jeans are a bit tight!)

Did you know, apples have been around since 348BC? And there’s over 2’300 varieties! We don’t find all these in the supermarket, thank goodness, but over the years, they’ve been improved through selection & still remain one of the highest consumed fruit in the UK today. We eat billions each year. After all, an apple a day keeps the doctor away!
I’m off now to make a crumble for tea, and I may even throw in some blackberries!
